Short answer: NO!!!!!!

Long answer:  

Dermaplaning is the use of a surgical scalpel to non-invasively remove dead skin cells.  This allows your products to penetrate deeper as well as keep your skin smoother and brighter.  It also conveniently picks up all the peach fuzz on the face while doing so.  

This does NOT mean your hair is going to grow back:

•  Faster
•  Thicker
• Darker

If this were the case we would have men LINED UP at the doors to get dermaplaned.  It’s just simply not true.

People feel like it grows back this way because they get used to it being gone…

It is coming back exactly the same as when it left.  

A few more benefits of dermaplaning is your makeup will lay on smoother and cleaner looking, look and feel hydrated and renewed.

Don’t fall for the lies…your hair will not grow back thicker.

Your hair WILL stay noticeably gone for 4-6 weeks!

There are a few contraindications with dermaplaning so look out for these as well to see if dermaplane is right for you:

Use of actives (retinols, tretinoin, etc.) – these products make your skin more sensitive, it is recommended to stop the use of these products at LEAST 3-5 days before your dermaplane. ( Consult esthetician, certain products have longer breaks needed before ) 

Active acne- unfortunately it is too dangerous to dermaplane on active acne, consider getting our Bubbly Over Bumps facial for a few months before and then moving towards dermaplaning! 

Skin Infections or Lesions- again just can be too dangerous or too unsanitary to do so.  Make sure your skin is clear of these before you consider a dermaplane as well.
